Summit County Welcomes the Fall Season

Summer is coming to an end up here in Summit County. Everywhere you look there are signs that autumn is up on us and the snowy winter season soon to follow shortly after. In fact, it is only 50 days until opening day at Keystone! With that being said, this weekend marks Keystone Resort's summer season closing weekend. Meanwhile, Breckenridge will be ushering in the fall season with the exciting festivities that are a part of the 19th Annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest. The festival will include German cuisine and other delicious foods, beer, live music and dancing. This is a great attraction for locals and for any of our out of town guests staying at the Holiday Inn this weekend. Of course, when there are not festivals going on, there are several other activities to do even with the summer season coming to a wrap up. One of the most fascinating features about Summit County is that there is always something to do to suit your interest, especially if you are of the outdoor persuasion. Hiking the trails and local 14ers, biking around Lake Dillon, fly-fishing in the Blue River and golfing are just a few of the activities still available before Summit County transforms into a winter wonderland. Arguably, fall in Summit County is the most beautiful time of year as the leaves transform through the warm shades of yellow, orange and red. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn during the fall season, be sure to take advantage of the beautiful scenery, festivals and outdoor adventures Summit County has to offer before the start of the ski season!
