Dream Houses, Dream Making, Keep Wishin

Have you ever gone on this little safari adventure called "parade of homes" or "street of dreams?" ok. well not really a safari, but i did come across two giant dogs, a cat and some horses.

When I was a little girl, my family used to go down the street about 5 miles to this area where you couldnt touch anything, weren't allowed to use the toilets and you had to wear little booties on your shoes so you didn't scuff the floor, where typically you would have been sliding in your socks down the hallway.

Yeah, it was called the "street of dreams"....the expensive, dream-on, keep wishing, home-land, but gosh were those houses beautiful.  We went every year to the "street of dreams" in Washington State and at age 14, I landed myself a pretty sweet gig babysitting for a house of 7 kids and another of 2 in the street of dreams.  By now these houses were sold to famous people (i'm talking the yankees starting pitcher) and at this time I could use the toilet and touch stuff, but it usually consisted of helping a 3 year old figure some pretty confusing things out about 4 times in one night...

Here I am, more than 10 years later and I am still dream wishing, but now its more to get ideas for what features I would like my house to have.  Of course, you think I'm silly.  I am NOT purchasing a 3.7 million dollar house, just some of the intricate details are quite amusing to the eye.

Darin, my husband and I, went to the "parade of homes" event this last weekend in Summit County, Colorado, home of the Holiday Inn hotel in Frisco, Colorado and checked out some pretty amazing things.

yes, country style kitchen, you can't go wrong

there was country EVERYWHERE - my style

other pictures aren't loading right now...I will have to revisit that...

PS....to the house with the giant doornobs on the bathroom drawers that I visited when i was 10, i accidentally did touch something and I accidentally did break your doornob off and may or may not have put it in the trash can...
