Still Alive

Ok, yes, maybe you thought we fell off the planet.    Mud season comes and goes every year, but the people never do...what a funny analogy.  Of course, all of Summit County wishes the people would come and never go and stay allll the way through mud season.  But, if you live here, you know that's not possible and probably won't ever be the case.  You know, the business next door shuts down for 2 months, we can't eat fish tacos at Angles Hallow so we all starve to death, and the bike trails are too muddy even us local folk want to go to Denver for the day.  Even at times, avid bloggers with journalism degrees choose to take a nap for just a bit;)

It's ok though. We're back in action.  Gearin' up for the Frisco BBQ this weekend where those who make BBQ will fatten people up and those who eat BBQ won't fit through any doors for 2 days.  Our restaurant called the Sporting News Grill, next to the Holiday Inn, is handing out 300 FREE pieces of bacon to those running in the Bacon Burner on the 16th as part of the Frisco BBQ party/eat/drink/play weekend.  Particularly, bacon is my favorite...I don't even do enough crossfit to "burn" off all those bacon slices I have every day.  If you don't like bacon, you are just missing out.  If you don't know what crossfit is, you'll find out soon in another blog post:)  Think:::worst workout pain you've ever felt, heaving breathing, heavy lifting, protein shakes-coupled with the best feeling of accomplishment 20 minutes later and you'll have 25% of the way painted a picture for yourself.

Coming soon....an all-inclusive insight to a Holiday Inn/Crossfit (bacon eating) package.  Look out for details!
